Everything in the shop is made to order, and therefore not instantly available. An order time of at least two days apply. Some pickles might have a waiting period  of up to a week.  This is a just a selection of items that I make, if there is anything specific not on the list that you want, you are welcome to chat to me.

Pickles and Pastes

  • Preserved stuffed aubergines. 800 gr jars. Stuffed with nuts. chillies and herbs and preserved in olive oil. Delicious! R300/jar
  • Pickled cucumbers – 500 – 800 gr jars. Crispy sweet Israeli cucumbers with garlic and Dill. R100 – 150/jar.
  • Pickled Jalapeno – 500gr jars. When in season your choice of pickled cut or whole green Jalapeno peppers. R120/jar.
  • Saurkraut – 500gr jars . Fermented cabbage (excellent for gut health). Your choice of white or purple cabbage, or a mixture. R120/jar.
  • Chillie sauces- 250gr jars. Fermented chilli sauces, either green or red. Usually very hot but tasty. R80/jar.
  • Rose harissa paste – 350gr jars. Spicy North African paste/sauce with floral notes,  made with peppers, spices, tomatoes and dried rose petals. R150/jar
  • Tahini Paste – 200gr jar – Toasted seasame seed paste. R150/jar
  • Mayonnaise – 250gr jar – Made with free range eggs, tangy and creamy. – R120/jar.
Biscuits, crackers and confectionary
  • Chocolate paneforte with figs and nuts – Panforte is a spicy Italian fruitcake with hints of pepper & nuts, and loads of 70% dark chocolate. Perfect as a gift or for after dinner with coffee. Keeps well. R350 for 10 slices.
  • Middle Eastern Millionaire’s shortbread – A three layered bar with a shortbread bottom, halva in the middle and a glossy tahini caramel on top. R350 for 10 bars
  • Choc Chip and Pecan nut cookies  – made with loads of butter, nuts and chocolate, these come with a health warning for being addictive!  Available baked @R160 for 24, or as frozen balls for baking at home @R140 for 24.
  • Gevulde Spekulaas – A biscuit crust with a almond and orange filling that is rich with spices. These are made as a log and then sliced and baked. R300 for 12.
  • Gourmet Crackers – a selection of savoury crackers,  including cranberry crackers, and cheese crackers. R160 for a packet of 30.

  • Granola – toasted with loads of nuts, seeds and oats. R160/kg
  • Spice Mixes – R80/jar Ras el Hanout, Baharat
  • Sweet and spicy seeds and nuts – R160/kg (available in 100gr etc packets)
